The cruise line Royal Caribbean Cruises announced this Monday the signing of a new agreement with the French shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique, for the construction of a sixth Oasis-class ship that will be delivered in the fall of 2023.

The president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Richard D. Fain has pointed out that "this new order is a reflection of the good performance of this class of ships and the firm alliance between Chantiers de l'Atlantique and Royal Caribbean Cruises".

On the other hand, the general manager of Chantiers de l'Atlantique, Laurent Castaing, explained that she is the twenty-third cruise ship that will be built at his shipyard. “This order also reflects the shipping company's confidence in our shipyard based on the exceptional quality of the long-term cooperation between both companies”, concludes Castaing.

This request is subject to financial approval, which is expected to be completed in the second or third quarter of this year.
