With the aim of facilitating entrepreneurship and getting the Administration to go from being a generator of obstacles to a facilitator of solutions, the Law of Entrepreneurship and Economic Competitiveness of Galicia was born. "This law has been created as a useful instrument to act as a driving force for Galician entrepreneurship, making it easier for Galicia to resume growth and generate employment," says the Minister of Economy and Industry, Francisco Conde.
The goal is to increase the number of entrepreneurs by 60% to over 130,000 in the next 4 years. It constitutes one of the objectives of the Xunta with the new reform that is based on three lines of action: a series of new services provided, economic and fiscal incentives and administrative simplification. In the latter case, Conde stressed that "it is a pioneering decision in Spain, since municipal work and activity licenses will be eliminated in general."
"Galician entrepreneurs will not need any license, neither express nor traditional," said Conde, who assures that in this way the automatic opening of a business can take place. Despite the new facilities, from the administration they warn about the existence of some exceptions: «The automatic inauguration will not be possible in those cases in which a technical building project is required; in the case of a project to be developed on specially protected land; or in the event that any element that requires the authorization of Heritage could be affected.
Entrepreneurial awareness is a characteristic that determines the competitiveness of communities, which is why the Galician Administration will launch a series of services that promote entrepreneurship and economic growth.
The Galicia Emprende Unit, for example, will issue feasibility reports for mature projects in a maximum of thirty days and will open Entrepreneur Service Points to help formally set up a new company quickly and automatically.
On the other hand, the Rede de Viveiros Galicia Emprende will offer up-to-date information so that entrepreneurs can choose the most suitable place to open their new company.
But without a doubt, one of the most interesting points of this innovative project of the Xunta de Galicia is the Network of Mentors; a space that aims to become a kind of school in which a hundred tutors will provide training and advice to future Galician entrepreneurs. Thanks to this new platform, future entrepreneurs will be able to obtain first-hand the basic knowledge and tools to generate.
