María Bernad (Elche, 1995) is a creative director, stylist and designer who lives in Madrid, although due to her international projection it is common to catch her in any fashion capital. Her Instagram profile, where she has more than 312,000 followers, opens a window to her particular vision of fashion and her aesthetic references. María has a very particular style, where arty references, a timeless spirit and a lot of her own personality intermingle. Her weakness for her retro aesthetics led her to found Les Fleurs, a sustainable vintage clothing firm, more than a year ago. With this seal, María rescues old garments and gives them a second life impregnating them with her unique sensitivity.

With a degree in Fashion Design, the it-girl has been attracted to this universe since she was a child. “My grandmother and my mother have always sewn at home. They let me choose the fabrics and I have had the privilege of wearing the dresses that my grandmother made for my mother when she was young,” she says. That is why when the time came to decide what she wanted to do with her future, María did not doubt it for a moment: she wanted to make her passion a job.

The young woman has a predilection for brands that defend the concept of slow fashion and she usually opts for artisan or author designs. She is inspired by Monet or Matisse, she loses the powdery colors and she has an individual vision of fashion and outside of trends. "I always try to look for the most authentic of each thing and with fashion today, which goes so fast and there are so many fast fashion brands, vintage is the only thing that remains," she reflects.
